Free Pattern - Tiger Doll Scarf


Doll Tiger Scarf 

Head:

Ears

With white, Cast on 2 stitches

Row 1: Knit

Cut yarn. Place these stitches on spare needle.

Repeat for 2nd ear.

Row 2: With orange, knit first ear. Turn to look at wrong side, cast on 2 stitches using cable cast on method, turn to right side, knit across other ear.

Row 3: Knit

Row 4: K1, M1, K4, M1, K1 (8 stitches)

Rows 5-7: Knit

Row 8: K2White, K4Orange, K2White

Row 9: SSKWhite, K4Orange, K2togWhite (6)

Row 10: K2White, K2Orange, K2White

Row 11: SSKWhite, K2Orange, K2togWhite (4)

Continue in White only

Row 12: Knit

Row 13: K2tog, K2tog

Row 14: K2tog

Fasten off

 

Tail –

Cast on 6 stitches Orange and 2 stitches white. Bind off knitwise, using white for white stitches and orange for orange stitches.

 

Front legs:

With White, Cast on 3 stitches

Rows 1-2: Knit.

Change to Orange

Rows 3-8: Knit

Break yarn, Place these stitches on holder or spare needle

Make second leg as first but do not break yarn

Row 9: Knit across ‘live’ leg, turn to back and using the cable cast on method, cast on 3 stitches. Turn back to the right side and knit across first leg.

Knit every row for about 100 rows.

K3, Bind off 3, K3.

Knit legs together or one at a time, but do not join.

Knit 6 rows (each leg has 3 stitches). Orange

Knit 2 rows white

Bind off.

 

Embroider face with x’s to correspond to child’s scarf. Sew Head and Tail to Body. Weave in all ends. Embroider Body stripes.
